Riley Kae Dressler 10/11/06 - 11/17/06
Dearest family and friends of John and Jennifer. I'm writing on behalf of my sister today with a very heavy heart. Our precious Riley passed away yesterday morning, November 17, 2006 just after 7:00 a.m. She fought to the very end, but her little lungs just could not keep up. We are all so thankful for the time we had with her, and take comfort in knowing that she is resting in the loving arms of the Lord.
John and Jen are so appreciative for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. Thank you all for your prayers for Riley and her family. It has provided them strength and solace. Please continue to pray for the Dressler family during this time of grief.

Jen, John & Family -
We are so very sorry to hear that your precious baby was taken from you. I wish that there were words that would help the hurt but I can't imagine that there are any. Just know that the arms that now hold Riley are strong and will forever protect and love her! Thank you for sharing her life with us all and may you and your babies at home find strength and love in each other.

Dear Jennifer and John,
I am sure that all those who have taken part in Riley's page feel their hearts break as mine has from this sad news. We have all grown to love this dear little girl as we have prayed for her. Now our loving God will keep her safe, hold her, and sing to her with the angels until you will one day join her to hold her yourselves again.
You both will remain in our prayers. Thank you so much for sharing the life of your sweet little daughter with us.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. So many people were touched by Riley's precious life. As we prayed for her, we were drawn closer to the Lord. I will continue to pray for you, that God will comfort your hearts and draw you even closer to him. God says,
"Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Dear Jennifer and John,
Words can't cover this sadness. Know that I'm praying for all of you, thinking of you. Riley's work here isn't done. I believe that. Her moments here on earth will continue to touch us all. As Mary Herak Sand said above, "pure blessing, pure grace." Amen. Thank you for sharing this journey. I'm forever changed.

I am so sorry to read this today. It was so nice for such a short while. I will continue to pray for you and your families to gather strength to get through this difficult time. Thank you for sharing Riley with all of us, albeit briefly. God is holding your precious one now, and for that reason alone, I am inspired and in awe.
I am from the Gwinnett Mothers of Multiples Group and have followed your journey since the first prayer request for this precious girl of yours came to us. I wanted to send my deepest symapathy to you all, and to let you know that our family is keeping your family and your sweet angel, Riley, in our prayers. You all are in our hearts.
Following along on this journey of love and of courage and of strength, through the shared words and pictures, has touched my life forever. I know your little Riley is resting safe and protected in the arms of God, and she will always be watching over all of you. What a fighter, a brave angel. We will never forget any of you. We just want you all to know we love you and we share in your grief and tremendous loss over sweet little Riley. She has touched so many lives and will continue to do so forever. There is that wonderful hope of the future for that day when you will meet her again in heaven and she will be waiting for you with arms open. This poem has held a special place in our life, and was shared with me when we lost our little baby boy.
I'll lend you for a time
a child of mine he said
for you to love the while she lives,
and morn for when she's dead
It may be six or seven years or twenty two or three,
But will you, till I call back,
take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you'll have her lovely memories
as solace for your grief.
The risk of grief we'll run,
we'll shelter her with tenderness
we'll love her while we may,
for the happiness we've known
we'll love her while we may,
for the happiness we've known
we'll forever gratefull stay.
But should the angels call
for her, much sooner than
we planned, we'll brave the
bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.
Love
